Section is founded in 2012 and gathers members whose scientific or expert interest is oriented towards woody plants, but also members who show special relationship, respect and love towards trees and shrubs. Dendrology is about morphological and biological properties, ecological preferences, phylogeny, variability, distribution, economic and ecological importance and use of woody plant species. Area of interest are primarily native and alien woody plant species, but also plants like ornamental taxa or fruticulture hybrids and cultivars. Specific aims of the Section are the endorsement of valuable dendrological collections and popularization of old, large, rare and historically important and protected trees in Croatia.<\/p>\n
