Croatian Botanical Society gathers members who are professional or amateur botanists, involved
with some of the fields of botanical sciences. Activities of the Society are directed towards the
promotion and development of botanical sciences on popular, expert and scientific levels. The
Society advocates for the conservation and protection of flora, vegetation and habitats and overall

For this reason, the Society periodically organizes professional-popular lectures for many years. The lectures are free, open for everyone and held at the Division of Biology, Faculty of Science in Zagreb. They are traditionally held on Thursdays at 18:00, usually every two weeks.
