Once a year, Section for Botanical Gardens and Arboretums coordinates various botanical gardens and arboretums in Croatia that participate in the coordinated action of popularization of botany. The manifestation is traditionally held in May and was firstly organized in 2011. In the first edition, the Botanical Garden from the Faculty of Science in Zagreb organized a variety of free activities for its visitors. In the following years, the range of the activities grew to become a wide spectrum of events including also other similar institutions across Croatia. Various events for the public are organized during this period, aiming to educate the citizens and increase the popularity of botany and botanical topics. Events include lectures, workshops for citizens and students, shows and concerts, guided tours etc. and all events are free.<\/p>\n
