SECTION FOR HERBARIUM COLLECTIONS

Section for herbarium collections was founded in 2016. Since there are 13 officially registered herbarium collections in Croatia (Index Herbariorum), operating within faculties, institutes, natural history museums and NGO-s, the Section was founded with the aim to gather, connect and promote the collaboration of curators in enhancing the value of herbarium collections, starting discussions and taking common attitudes, as well as having a common public response to questions regarding herbarium collections. Members of the Section continuously participate in organizing lectures, workshops, exhibitions and excursions.
