Mission
Croatian Botanical Society gathers members who are professional or amateur botanists, involved with some of the fields of botanical sciences. Activities of the Society are directed towards the promotion and development of botanical sciences on popular, expert and scientific levels. The Society advocates for the conservation and protection of flora, vegetation and habitats and overall biodiversity in Croatia. Croatian Botanical Society participates in connecting and encourages expert and scientific collaboration with student, civil and other organisations at the University, Republic of Croatia and worldwide. Through its general activities, the Society aims to contribute to modern, free, democratic, plural, tolerant and non-violent society following basic principles of respecting different attitudes, opinions, ideas, freedom of thoughts and responsibilities of individuals and the Society.
